Grapevine, TX Gynecologist

Serenity Gynecology & Functional Medicine

I am a board-certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist providing Gynecological and Functional care at Serenity GYN & Wellness Centers in Grapevine/Southlake, Texas. I am a native to Dallas, Texas. Graduated from R.L Turner High School, attended college at Texas Woman's University and completed Medical School at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston . I finalized my OB/GYN residency at Wayne State/ Hutzel Hospital in Detroit, MI.

I have been practicing Obstetrics and Gynecology for over 15 years. After my 4 children were born I stopped practicing Obstetrics. As I focused on the care of women outside of the childbearing years, I realized there were many dead ends. My patients would come in complaining of fatigue, weight gain, depression, hot flashes, premenopausal symptoms, lack of libido to name a few. The usual traditional treatments didn’t always help my patients. Out of frustration, I started investigating and discovered Functional Medicine. It gave me the answers I needed to fill in these gaps where traditional medicine did not. It allows me an in-depth view of my patient's issues thus finding the root cause in the attempt to prevent a condition in the hopes of providing a better quality of life for my patients as they age.

My interest are preventative medicine, anti-aging, as well as gynecologic minimally invasive surgery, both laparoscopically and with Davinci robot. I am always looking for updated information on menopausal care, hormone management, weight loss, exercise, colposcopy, and annual maintenance exams.
